Lots of negatives, very few positives (12 replies)

I can imagine what was said the in the Bristol City pre match meeting to discuss the tactics - let them have it, we can sit on our own 18 yard box and wait for the moment to come where we can break. It was executed it to perfection, unfortunately we were the ones who executed it for them. After the other night at Preston I’d hoped that we’d learned a lesson but we snapped back into our usual naive ways in the very next game.

Negatives are there for all to see, slow, pedestrian passing. Paik, Koumas, Keshi, Cochrane (sick of him under hitting his passes to whoever is LW) Stanno isolated, no width from the full backs without Laird. Roberts, Keshi, Grey running across the box without a pass on for them we could be still playing now and we’d have still not created a thing of note!

Positives? Leonard. His performance was all action and I liked it. The other positive is that the players are still very much running hard which is of course the least expected but it shows they haven’t lost faith in CD and his staff, yet! And that’s about all there is for the positives.

We lack a proper number 10 that we can rely on so we need to go with 4-4-2 imo
