We are tenth on xg, I think we were 6th before today. Things have been shit but no team creates loads of chances the way people imagine.

I hate xg but many hang their hat on it.

We’re 14th and have had the second most penalties which adds a big boost (.8) admittedly only one more than most teams.

This site uses the average xG per game, I think the table that has us 4th looks at the games individually and who had the best xG in those games, we weirdly come out on top in most games, including yesterday, we seem obsessed with creating the perfect chance which is fine as long as we score them and that’s obviously not happening.
