Re: 6 points from 9
coventrybluenoseTamcoventrybluenoseI agree but on current evidence I think we will fail to puck up the necessary points away from home
But as it is, we're only four points short of the playoffs, having played one more away than at home. We're just finding our best side, Tommy Doyle is coming into his own, Ducksch is now available and looking a quality player, etc - are you thinking that we're not going to improve?
You may be right but on the evidence we won’t pick up the points away from home to propel us into the top 6. Therefore I am setting my sights on staying in the league and building on a strong first season back for a challenge next season.
On the evidence so far we’re on 2 points per game at home, just under a point per game away (and have played 5 of the top 8 in those 8 games).
Right now that puts us in the 67-68 point range. And I think it’s fair to say that away performances recently (Wrexham half time onwards) have been decent enough to say we might well get say 25-30 points away from home. It’s not a huge ask really.
70 points would be right on the edge of playoffs I think. Certainly in the conversation.
