Didn't Davies heavily insinuate that Fujimoto was crap in training earlier in the season?

Davies doesn't seem the type to accept players like that.

Asked whether Fujimoto is making a case for himself behind-the-scenes, Davies said: “I’ve had a chat with Kanya a few times. He has definitely improved a lot in training.

“Again, as I’ve said previously, he did come to us injured and he’s coming towards the end of that.

“There’s a couple of options there. In a busy week there might be some game time for him within the squad, like this week coming up. Outside of that there’s (Under) 21s football that he can look to have some minutes in as well.

“We’ll find a path and a route to get him up to speed but the encouraging thing is he’s been training well. That’s the first thing he needs, to start doing that. He’s done that bit so it’s just trying to find a route forward for him now.”
