So it's come to this: a listen and read special (12 replies)
I sat there today as Keep Right On rang out around me, Blues were two up, defending confidently, a swagger had returned along with the missing fans.
I reminisced over the last 5 months. I thought of those brave souls that had stood against a wave of abuse from those who couldn't accept that the man they loved had left them. I thought of Fat Buddha, a man who has suffered ill health, standing firm like a angry Zulu faced with an onslaught of villa's hardest core. I thought of Ribeye, another brave, willing to give a man a chance to turn us into a proper football team. I thought of all those pictured in the black and white filmstrip shown pre match, all those Blues fans that had predated us, suffered before us, lived for the Blues then as we do now. I thought of my granddad stood at the back of the kop, my dad in the same space, me and my son now occupying a similar area. I thought of all my mates, old and new, the adventures we'd been on, the shared experiences, the living, the believing, the hope, the love......and then I though of the poster Gary Rowett, H-bomb, StechyBlue and others. The posters willing us to lose, willing us to support the villa....tears welled in my eyes for these ex-fans. But not tears of compassion or tears of sadness, tears of anger. These ex-fans are welcome no more at St Andrews. They are not wanted, not needed and should not be accepted in any shape or form. Lets rid this club of anything anti Blues. They are DVB's to a man, get out of my club.
