Airman Mark Gooch, accused of killing Sasha Krause Bond $2M

21-year-old, Mark Gooch, an Airman First Class with the United States Air Force was arrested at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Arizona. Gooch was arrested for the kidnapping and murder of 27-year-old, Sasha Marie Krause from Farmington, New Mexico. Mark Gooch was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on the following charges: premeditated 1st degree murder, 1st degree murder (during the commission of a crime), kidnapping, and theft. San Juan County Sheriff’s Office reported. If convicted, he will spend life in prison.

The court has set bond for Gooch at $2 million cash only when he requested release on bond, AP reported.

“The court does believe that if the defendant is released, he poses a risk to other members of the (Mennonite) community if he, in fact, committed this offense,”  Superior Court Judge Cathleen Brown Nichols said according to the AP.

He appears in court again next month.
