Boulder Killer was on the FBI, Police Radar

The Boulder Police wanted Ahmad Al Alissa to understand his savage actions and their consequences when he killed Officer Eric Tally and nine other innocent victims.

Perhaps the suspect was impacted perhaps not, but the gesture was important for Officer Talleys teammates.

This week several Boulder Police officers & others responded to a local hospital to formally place Monday’s shooting suspect into custody. As they did, officers informed him the handcuffs used that day were those of Officer Eric Talley. The suspect was then taken to jail.

It was our distinct honor to use Officer Talley’s handcuffs to formally process him into the jail. Though this was a small gesture, we hope it is the start of the healing process that so many of us need at this time. Officer Talley’s handcuffs. He was a hero who saved other potential victims.

Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, 21, the suspect arrested in the killings of ten in Boulder Colorado has been charged with 10 counts of First Degree Murder.

Alissa had been on the FBI radar for some time, but no action was taken to have his whereabouts or actions monitored. He had a criminal record including assaulting a fellow high school student, yet was allowed to purchase a Ruger AR-556  the week before the murder rampage, Fox news reported.
