The hypocrisy is unthinkable, says Sen Cotton, as Biden has no qualms of rendering our servicemen and their families jobless without benefits.

“Kicking thousands of young, healthy troops out of the military over the vaccine mandate hurts our national security. All because President Biden is trying to restore his political standing.”

NPR takes a deeper dive into the Department of Justice’s breaking off of negotiations to pay monetary damages to families who were forcibly separated at the border during the Trump administration. 

The negotiations, which began in the early months of the Biden administration, were aimed at settling claims brought by migrant families that were separated under the “zero tolerance” policy while seeking to enter the U.S. for asylum and other reasons.

But government officials abruptly pulled the plug on all settlement talks on Thursday, Lee Gelernt, a lawyer at the American Civil Liberties Union, and one of the lead negotiators told NPR. “

The Biden administration never admits fault, no matter how contentious or sensitive the subject is. They certainly aren’t going to admit to getting out over their skis in taking the NSBA’s word for it that parents qualify as domestic terrorists.

Still, in a sane world, Garland would be resigning for such a disgraceful blunder. Sen. Tom Cotton made that clear during his time.
