Vikings QB Sam Bradford still not practicing, appears unlikely to play Sunday vs. Lions

At this point, quarterback Sam Bradford appears to be a longshot to make his return this Sunday against the Lions.

Bradford appeared to not be practicing again Thursday as he was not seen during the 15-minute portion open to reporters. Bradford was held out of practice Wednesday and has not joined his teammates on the Winter Park fields since Sept. 21, a day before he flew to Florida for a second opinion on his troublesome left knee.

Quarterback Case Keenum has led the first-team offense this week and will likely make his third start for the Vikings on Sunday.

The Vikings were missing another key player at the start of Thursday’s practice. Right tackle Mike Remmers was not seen with his fellow offensive linemen. Remmers had practiced Wednesday and was not listed on the team’s first injury report of the week.

Swing tackle Rashod Hill lined up in Remmers’ spot next to Joe Berger during position drills.

Defensive end Stephen Weatherly (illness) returned to practice after being held out Wednesday.
