Former Twins, Red Sox slugger David Ortiz shot, says his father

Leo Ortiz told ESPN.com on Sunday night that Ortiz was shot while at an entertainment center in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Doctors said he was having surgery, but was in stable condition.
