In an unprecedented effort, Hennepin County has moved nearly 400 homeless people to hotel rooms since the pandemic began. The county recently approved another $1 million for this effort, which comes as a coalition of county and nonprofit leaders join forces to prevent the sort of large-scale outbreaks that have devastated homeless shelters in other states. We follow one older man with underlying health problems as he moves out of the Higher Ground shelter in Minneapolis and into a hotel room.
