Man fatally shot in McKinley Park

A man was shot and killed in McKinley Park on Sunday, according to police.

The man, 64, was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the chest in the 1900 block of West 34th Place about 4:25 p.m., Chicago police said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was initially listed in critical condition and later was pronounced dead.

A weapon was recovered at the scene, and detectives are investigating.

No one is in custody.
