Erika Kirk Is the New CEO of Turning Point USA
Erika Kirk has been named CEO of Turning Point USA, the conservative-youth organization founded by her late husband, Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed last week. On Thursday, the Turning Point board announced via X that it had unanimously elected Erika as the new CEO and chair of the board. The board members claimed that they had conducted discussions with Charlie prior to his killing, in which he had expressed to “multiple executives that this is what he wanted in the event of his death.”
Erika has spoken publicly since Kirk was killed last Wednesday while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University. In a YouTube livestream on Friday, she said, “If you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea … you have no idea what you’ve just unleashed on this entire country and this world.”
Elsewhere in her remarks, Erika thanked law-enforcement officials for protecting her family and lavished praise on President Trump. “Mr. President, my husband loved you, and he knew that you loved him, too,” she said through tears. “Your friendship was amazing. The evildoers responsible for my husband’s assassination have no idea what they have done.” She then vowed to resume Kirk’s American Comeback Tour, which had been scheduled to visit college campuses across the country this fall.
In an Instagram caption posted that same day, she wrote in part, “You. All of you. Will never. Ever. Forget my husband @charliekirk1776 I’ll make sure of it.”
