Josh Hartnett Was Hospitalized After a Car Crash in Canada
Josh Hartnett was hospitalized last Thursday after getting into a car accident in Canada. The actor was on his way home from filming an untitled Netflix series when he was struck by a Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) patrol vehicle just before 1 a.m., according to CBC News. He had been riding as a passenger in an SUV driven by an unidentified 59-year-old man when the incident occurred.
Both men were sent to the hospital with minor injuries, and the police officer involved in the crash was also sent to the hospital out of precaution. In a statement, the RNC declared it was looking for any “witnesses or video footage” of the accident involving Hartnett.
According to a representative for the actor, he has since been released from the hospital and returned to work. The limited series he’s currently filming is apparently about a sea creature that terrorizes a small Canadian town — Hartnett is playing a fisherman who “must fight to protect his family, his community, and his vanishing way of life,” per Netflix. The actor will also appear alongside Anne Hathaway in the film adaptation of Verity, which is set to be released on October 2, 2026.
