Stop Speculating About Barron Trump’s Sex Life
On Tuesday, just a few hours before the federal government was set to shut down, Fox News hosts Jesse Watters and Julie Banderas decided to discuss another issue that appears to be of considerable national importance to some: They dedicated a portion of Jesse Watters Primetime to 19-year-old Barron Trump’s dating life.
During a segment titled “Barron Trump Brought a Girl Home,” Watters and Banderas gushed about a “Page Six” report claiming that the teenager arranged a date at Trump Tower for “security” reasons, reportedly closing off an entire floor of the midtown skyscraper for the rendezvous. Then, they proceeded to speculate about whether the First Son got laid.
“Man, this guy’s got game,” Banderas said. “I mean, six-foot-seven and he’s got a whole floor at Trump Tower for a freaking date? I mean, I hope something good came out of that date. I mean, I’m not going to say what.” Watters replied with a joke about Barron’s date enjoying “the Trump cookie.”
Creepiest shit imaginable -- two middle aged Fox stars discussing on national television how Barron Trump is a "ladies man" who has "got game," and contemplating whether he got laid on a recent date. pic.twitter.com/uWuUMHBiJ3

I can’t believe I have to spell this out to two middle-age people, both of whom are parents to underage children: It is incredibly creepy and invasive for adults to discuss on national television — no matter how jokingly — whether a teenager is having sex. He is 19! His frontal lobe hasn’t even developed yet. The segment wasn’t necessarily shocking, however. Watters has had a strange fixation on the dating life of President Trump and Melania Trump’s only child, previously theorizing that Barron will marry 27-year-old actress Sydney Sweeney. “And it’s going to create the greatest political dynasty in American history,” Watters said in August. Okay, Creepydamus!
A similar unfortunate fate seems to await Barron’s niece, Kai Trump, who’s been the object of endless right-wing fascination since she made her public debut stumping for her grandfather at the Republican National Convention last summer. In a Jesse Watters Primetime segment in January, Banderas claimed that anyone would “fall in love” with the then-17-year-old after she vlogged her experience on Inauguration Day. And consider how users at the sub-Reddit r/womenoftheright — which has 67,000 weekly visitors — began posting pictures of Kai as soon as she turned 18 in May, with comments such as “She’s tight ????,” “Goddess Kai????,” and “She’s hot.”
So why would the party of family values — several members of which love to accuse the opposition of being pedophiles — engage in such weird behavior? Well, its leader has pretty much set the tone by routinely sexualizing his daughter, Ivanka. Donald Trump infamously said on The Howard Stern Show in 2003 that then-22-year-old Ivanka had “the best body” and later told The View in 2006 that “perhaps [he’d] be dating” her if she weren’t his daughter. As recently as his first term in office, Trump talked about Ivanka’s “breasts, her backside, and what it might be like to have sex with her,” according to former Homeland Security chief of staff Miles Taylor. Even Donald Trump Jr. has done something similar, calling his teen daughter Kai “sexy” before her RNC speech. Is it really a surprise, then, that the MAGA base is equally leering?
Whatever you think about their family’s abhorrent politics, we should not be getting a lecherous running commentary on Barron’s intimate life or Kai’s looks. That’s just basic decency.
