Did Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau Just Make It Official?
It looks like Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau’s little fling is turning into something more. The duo made their first public appearance on Saturday night in Paris, where they were apparently celebrating Perry’s birthday at the cabaret show Crazy Horse. In a video obtained by TMZ, the singer and former Canadian prime minister can be seen leaving the venue while holding hands and looking awfully smitten. What a way to ring in 41!
They were first spotted together in July, dining at a seafood restaurant in Montreal. Trudeau was later seen belting out the lyrics to “Firework” at Perry’s Lifetimes tour with his 16-year-old daughter. Things allegedly “cooled off” between the two in August, but they later were seen making out on a yacht while Trudeau was shirtless and wearing jeans. Earlier this month, a source told People that Perry and Trudeau are “quite taken with each other” and that “in addition to the attraction, they are both smart and love to talk about serious issues.” They probably had a great time unpacking their theories about how the Louvre jewel thieves got away with it.
If the unlikely couple is still gallivanting around the City of Love, I hope they take a page out of Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s book and enjoy a slow waltz under the Eiffel Tower. Now that’s a way to end a romantic birthday weekend.
