Blue Ivy Did Her Own Makeup for the Angel Ball
At 13, I thought smudging black eyeliner all over my bottom-lash line made me a beauty guru. Blue Ivy Carter, on the other hand, already appears to know how to expertly apply lashes and perfect an eyeshadow look. Really, what can’t she do?
On Monday night, Beyoncé’s daughter attended the Angel Ball, a black-tie event that raises money for cancer research, with her grandmother Tina Knowles, who was presented with a philanthropy award. Knowles also documented their date night on Instagram with a selfie. A Solange Knowles fan account commented on the photo, asking who was responsible for Blue’s fabulous glam. Tina responded and confirmed that her granddaughter “does it herself.” Of course she does!
Knowles, of course, has been showing off her granddaughter’s pro MUA skills for months — in April, she posted a video in which she was getting her eyebrows tinted by Blue. “My beauty guru and my manager, Miss Blue Ivy Carter, has instructed me that I need to dye my eyebrows because they have little gray streaks in them,” Tina said in the video. She turned to Blue again in June to help her apply a perfect red lip:
Blue has an impressive résumé for a tween — she’s performed onstage for both the Renaissance and Cowboy Carter tours and voiced a young Kiara in Mufasa: The Lion King alongside her mom. Do I sense a new celebrity beauty brand coming soon?
