Ariana Grande Is Finally Brunette Again
For the past three years, Ariana Grande’s hair has been in character as Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked and Wicked: For Good. Which is to say, she’s been blonde. But with Wicked’s final installment upon us, it looks like she’s finally ready to leave the blonde life behind.
On Wednesday, after spending several months gradually getting her hair darker, Grande posted a new, freshly blown-out brunette hairstyle on Instagram. She nodded to the blonde character that consumed her life for the past three years in the caption, writing, “it’s good to see me, isn’t it? ????.” Her hair colorist responsible for the new look, Francesco De Chiara, commented, “We’re back amore.” This is the first time we’ve seen her hair freed from the slick-back shackles in what feels like years.
The singer first debuted her blonde hair on Instagram in October 2022, a couple months before she began filming the two-part Wicked project. Three years and one showmance later, she has finally returned to form. Unless she decides to change her hair again, it seems like we’ll have a brunette Ari for the final press run for Wicked and her 2026 Eternal Sunshine tour. It feels like 2019 all over again.
