All Our Favorite Fashion Brands Have Sale-on-Sales — and More Great Deals
You may have noticed some posts from our friends at the Strategist on the Cut. They’ll be dropping in every now and again, sharing their expertise on the basics you don’t have time to research and the weird and wonderful things you don’t yet know you need.
Many Strategist favorites are having sale-on-sales today — Anthropologie, Madewell, J.Crew, Nordstrom. If the recent cold front has you rethinking your winter wardrobe, plenty of in-season sweaters, puffers, pants, and more are up to 73 percent off. And for those looking for home deals, two of our favorite kitchenware start-ups, Great Jones and Material Kitchen, launched their Black Friday sales this week. Happy Cyber Month, apparently!

Women’s fashion
Anthropologie is offering an extra 50 percent off sale items, which is just about the best deal you’ll find at the retailer. Semi-rare for an Anthropologie sale: The apparel section is very well stocked. I spotted lots of fanciful collars, sweaters, and things for horse girls.
Sale items are an extra 40 percent off at Madewell with the code SALEONSALE through November 11. The best offerings are jeans, sweaters, and accessories like socks and purses. (Purses rarely go on sale at Madewell, so if you’ve got your eye on one, get it now.)
J.Crew Carolyn Cardigan in Striped Merino Wool
At J.Crew, most sale items are an additional 50 percent off with the code EXTRA. Most of the offerings are quite summery, but this striped cardigan is delightful (and in season). Plus, the same code gets you an extra 20 percent off your entire purchase — full-price items included — but only until tonight.
Rag & Bone Miramar Wide-Leg Pants
Rag & Bone is offering our readers 20 percent off sitewide through December 17. I suggest you check out the Miramar “sweatpant jeans,” which never go on sale. Writer Brenley Goertzen wears them weekly: “Since discovering them last year, they’ve become a mainstay in my closet (I own four pairs now) because they perfectly mimic full-length denim, but they’re extremely soft and lightweight,” she writes.

If you’re looking for extremely discounted jeans, Nordstrom’s sale-on-sale is the place to look. I’ve been on a sailor-jeans kick for the last … eight years, and these are pretty cute and nicely priced at $33.
