What Nina Dobrev, Sarah Paulson, and Laufey Wore This Week
Between Halloween, the NYC marathon, the election, and the start of November, this week was busy. In fact, even though there were a lot of black gowns spotted on notable faces like Allison Williams, Nina Dobrev, and Sonia Tucker, each brought their own distinct style to the dress to make it a look. That’s what November is about: lots of layering and making neutrals interesting through the details. Below, what your favorite celebrities wore this week.
Best Dressed: Sarah Paulson
Sarah Paulson wore an amazing Chanel look to the Academy Women’s Luncheon, which was sponsored by the brand. She paired it with some simple capris and black heels. Chic.
Best Dressed Runner-Up: Nina Dobrev
To celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary and the opening of its new flagship on Madison Avenue, Messika hosted a dinner at the Frick Collection in New York, and attendees like Dobrev were decked out in the most glittery looks (and arm candies) there were.
Most On-Theme: Laufey
Singer Laufey wore pieces from her own collection at Everlane’s “Laufey in Everland” pop-up launch party.
Best Je Ne Sais Quoi: Sonia Tucker
Sometimes you do need to cross the Hudson, especially if it’s for the W Hoboken, which reopened with a fabulous party that featured some amazing looks like this black gown from Sonia Tucker.
Best Time Travel: Hannah Porter
Hannah Porter looks straight out of the ’50s at the Christian Louboutin Beauty Halloween party.
Best Monochrome: Allison Williams
Allison Williams wore Bogner and a beautiful brown-lip combo to celebrate the new archive-inspired Collectors Items Collection at Printemps New York.
Best Right Off the Runway: Tilda Swinton
Tilda Swinton looked chic as hell at the Chanel 2025/26 Cruise show in Singapore.
Best Styling: Brionna Jones
Desginer Brandon Blackwood celebrates ten years of his brand with a party, where guests wore their best looks, including Brionna Jones in this matching denim set.
Best Hair: Amy Nelms
I love everything about Amy Nelms’s look at the Gabriela Hearst documentary screening.
Best Link-up: Gabrielle Richardson and Romilly Newman
Gabrielle Richardson and Romilly Newman accessorized appropriately (and stylishly) at the Theory & Röze Traore launch of Theories magazine at Bridges.
