Tottenham Hotspur made a number of good purchases this summer, including Ryan Sessegnon, the promising teenage winger from Fulham.
While I believe that Spurs got a good deal for the youngster, paying just £25m (BBC), I think they could have pushed the transfer a little further.
Everyone knows that Spurs are short at right-back at the moment, with Kieran Trippier thriving in Spain, Aurier yet to appear this summer, and Juan Foyth out injured.
Kyle Walker-Peters is the first-choice at this moment in time, but it is still unclear as to whether Pochettino is prepared to put his faith in the 22-year-old long-term.
Ryan Sessegnon has a twin brother by the name of Steven, who also plays for Fulham, and Spurs were rumoured to be looking at a double deal at one point (Guardian).
I believe that Tottenham should have pushed for this, offering to loan Steven back as a sweetener to the deal.
The 19-year-old right-back has started the season well with a superb performance against Millwall in a 4-0 win.
HITC report that he had 123 touches, three interceptions, five clearances, and a 94% pass completion rate in the match.
Perhaps Tottenham should use Ryan to lure his twin over to Tottenham in the near future.
