Tottenham Hotspur are already lagging behind Man City and Liverpool this season in the Premier League, despite hopes that they may bridge the gap.
Spurs finished fourth in the Prem last season, despite pushing the likes of Cityand Liverpool into the new year. Tottenham completely fell away at the latter stages of the campaign, barely scraping fourth spot in the end.
After a draw away to City and a loss to Newcastle at home, Spurs are already five points behind Liverpool, who boast a 100% record. Tottenham are also three back from City.
This is not a great sign after just three games, especially when considering the fact that Liverpool only lost one game all season last time out.
Paul Gascoigne, a legend at Tottenham, has been talking to Football London about the Spurs academy, who he thinks will win the Prem, and where Spurs will finish.
He believes that Man City are unstoppable this season, but Spurs will get top four.
Gazza said: “I have seen the players in Spurs academy and they have some unbelievable players coming through. But the big question is going to be what happens if Harry Kane gets injured? Who is going to replace him?
“Man City have got players to replace every position on the field. Tottenham don’t. Mauricio Pochettino needs to buy again in the next window and get a couple of players in.
“Liverpool are looking strong as well but I cannot see anyone stopping Man City. They are just going to keep on buying and it’s quite scary.
“I think it will be Man City, Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United. I think Arsenal are playing good football as well.”
