Tottenham Hotspur certainly enjoyed a successful 2018/19 season, with a superb run in the Champions League and yet another top-four finish in the Prem.
Spurs have quickly become not only one of the best sides in English football, but one of the most watchable, with stars like Harry Kane, Heung Min Son, and Christian Eriksen.
Across the 2018/19 season alone, Spurs games were shown on TV a whopping 26 times, which was one more than Chelsea at 25 (Football London).
Thanks to this TV exposure, Spurs earned £145m last season, which ranked them fourth across Europe’s top five leagues.
This put Tottenham ahead of Prem rivals Arsenal and Man United, as well as Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Only Liverpool (£152m), Man City (£150m), and Chelsea (£146m), earned more TV money than Spurs in the 2018/19 campaign.
The Premier League dominated the top 20, making up 18 of the listed teams, with only Barca and Madrid representing non-Prem sides.
Spurs Web Opinion:
Let’s hope that this steady stream of Premier League TV money helps to pay off the stadium as fast as possible, while also helping Levy to invest in the transfer window. I believe that Spurs are two or three players away from a Premier League title challenge, they just need to spend the money now.
If we rank clubs from the Big 5 leagues by revenue from their TV deals, the Premier League contributes 18 of the top 20 clubs with the only interlopers being Barcelona (7th place) and Real Madrid (10th). #LFC are highest in Europe with £152m. pic.twitter.com/aIjGfhurel
