The 2020 edition of the Soccerex Football Finance 100, a report that ranks the top 100 most financially powerful clubs in the world, was released on Thursday and Spurs were ranked near the top of the list.
The report, which factors in five key financial variables – playing assets, tangible assets, cash in the bank, potential owner investment and net debt, found Tottenham to be the fourth most financially powerful club in the world with a Football Finance Index (FFI) score of 3.441.
The only clubs with a higher score than the Lilywhites were Paris Saint-Germain, who were declared the most financially powerful club in the world, followed by current Premier League champions Manchester City and Bundesliga holders Bayern Munich.
Here are the ten most financially powerful clubs in the world according to Soccerex’s report:
1) Paris Saint-Germain – 5.318
2) Manchester City – 5.197
3) Bayern Munich – 3.888
4) Tottenham Hotspur – 3.441
5) Arsenal – 3.150
6) Chelsea – 2.893
7) Liverpool – 2.616
8) Real Madrid – 3.336
9) Juventus – 2.195
10) Borussia Dortmund – 2.154

This shows how much Spurs have grown off the pitch in the last decade or so. With the infrastructure we have built and the commercial success we are enjoying, and revenue is likely to increase in the coming seasons. We should soon be able to compete financially with the biggest clubs in Europe.
