Tottenham Hotspur booked their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup last weekend with a comfortable 5-0 victory against non-league Marine.
The reward for navigating their way past the Merseyside minnows was with another away fixture, this time at Wycombe Wanderers.
Tottenham confirmed yesterday that the match at Adams Park will be played on Monday 25th January and screened live on BT Sport.
The Championship outfit have confirmed this morning with a statement on their official website that their league match this weekend against Queens Park Rangers has been postponed due to an outbreak of COVID-19 at the club with has resulted in positive tests and the requirement for others to go into self isolation.
With Tottenham set to play their cup tie against the Chairboys ten day’s time, it is not yet known whether the match is in any doubt.
Jose Mourinho’s side have already seen two matches postponed their season with Fulham and Aston Villa both being unable to field a side due to respective COVID-19 cases.
The statement read: “Wycombe Wanderers’ next Sky Bet Championship fixture against Queens Park Rangers, due to take place tomorrow, has been suspended.
“The Club informed the EFL that they would be unable to fulfil the fixture following recent positive COVID-19 tests and the requirement for players and staff to self-isolate as per EFL and Government guidance in order to mitigate against the risk of further infection.
“The circumstances surrounding the postponements will now be the subject of an investigation in accordance with EFL Regulations.
“Revised dates for the rearranged fixture will be confirmed in due course.”
