There has been a mixed reaction on social media from some Spurs fans to reports that Danny Rose may be set to leave the club.
Apart from the academy graduates, the left-back is the longest-serving player in the first-team squad, having joined the club as a teenager from Leeds United in 2007.
Things have gone downhill for the experienced defender since Jose Mourinho’s arrival at Tottenham, with Rose not made a single appearance for the club in over a year.
It was suggested two weeks ago that a move to West Bromwich Albion could be on the cards for the England international but if recent reports are to be believed, he could be on his way to Trabzonspor instead.
Turkish publication Ajansspor claim that Rose has agreed a three and a half year deal with Trabzonspor and is set to fly to Turkey to finalise the move.
While some Spurs fans are happy to see the back of the defender and joked about a potential move to Milan, others insisted that he could have still been a useful squad option, particularly given the issues at left-back, with Sergio Reguilon currently out with an injury.

Should have squashed the issues and kept him. He was honest, passionate and tried hard. I'd rather take him over Ben Davies now.

Jose has come in and got rid of two players, Dele and Danny, who would’ve given their heart and souls to win something with us, just so he can keep up his narrative of being a bad guy, when in reality both of those players would’ve genuinely been useful for today

Spurs Web Opinion
Rose has only himself to blame for the manner in which his career has nosedived over the last three years. The left-back’s form had started deteriorating long before Mourinho arrived at Spurs.
If the 30-year-old had played his cards a little wisely, he might have still been a first-team player and could have even potentially earned a new deal. Instead of going down as a Spurs legend, it is likely that Rose will now be remembered as a controversial figure.
