Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their reaction to the team selection for this evening’s Premier League match against Fulham.
Jose Mourinho’s side have failed to win any of their four midweek Premier League games this season (D1, L3).
Fulham have scored just eight home league goals this season, fewer than any other team. They have failed to score in seven of their 13 league fixtures at Craven Cottage.
Dele Alli makes his first Premier League start since the opening day defeat to Everton, while Mourinho has decided to accompany the English international with Heung-min Son, Harry Kane and Gareth Bale in attack.
Bale has been directly involved in seven goals in his last four matches in all competitions (4 goals, 3 assists), scoring in each of his last two appearances. Bale hasn’t scored in three consecutive club appearances since September 2018 for Real Madrid.
Mourinho has also decided to rotate his full-backs with Matt Doherty and Ben Davies coming into the starting eleven, while there is no place for Serge Aurier in the match day squad.
This is what some of the North London faithful have had to say about the line up:

For those crying about regi, I get Jose’s thinking here, first time he’s put out the front 4 everybody has been asking for so Davies who will sit back might provide some more stability

Happy with that XI. Understandable that Reguilon & Aurier have to be rotated with another game on Sunday.
Sanchez and Alderweireld starting two games in a row together — need a settled centre-back partnership.
Zero complaints. Let’s get back-to-back wins and climb the table.

Fullbacks should not have to attack with those 5 in front of them, Fulham have fast attackers so the full backs are just there to defend tonight…
