Oliver Skipp has arguably enjoyed as successful a loan spell as one could possibly hope for this season with Norwich City in the Championship.
The Spurs youngster joined the Canaries in the summer and slotted straight into their team, playing every single Championship match so far this season.
Not only is that a testament to his skill and importance to the Norwich team, but also his physical condition, playing two or three games every week.
Skipp has managed 38 league games, playing 90 minutes in 32 of those. He has also appeared in two FA Cup matches for Norwich this season. That adds up to over 3,300 minutes of football for the on-loan youngster (TransferMarkt).
During this international break, Skipp has joined up with the England U21 side and claims that he is coping well with the physical demands of the Championship.
The Spurs man explained that his body has become used to the demands of the league, adding that a lot of it is mental rather than physical.
He said (Norwich City): Your body starts to become accustomed to playing Tuesday, Saturday, Wednesday so I feel I’m in a good shape.
“It’s been tight and congested this season, but I’ve really enjoyed it. If the team is playing well and you can really forget the physical demand on your body, a lot of it is mental.”
