Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has eased Tottenham fans’ fears by providing a positive update regarding the futures of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
Despite the poor season that Tottenham have had so far, Kane and Son have both enjoyed extremely productive campaigns and both players are arguably in the conversation regarding the Player of the Year award.
Some pundits have even insisted that Spurs’ squad is ‘average at best’ when both players are taken out, which demonstrates how important the duo are to Jose Mourinho’s men.
However, over the past few weeks, reports have suggested that both Kane and Son could be on their way out of the club this summer.
The South Korean is rumoured to be on Bayern Munich’s radar while it has been claimed that Kane will tell the Spurs hierarchy that he wants to leave if the club do not get back into the Champions League.
Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that the North Londoners are still determined to hold on to both players.
The journalist revealed that Tottenham are currently negotiating a new contract with Son while Daniel Levy will do everything he can to hold on to Kane.
Tottenham are still negotiating to extend Son contract in the next months… and they’re still on the same position regarding Kane’s future: Harry wants to play Champions League football but #THFC want him to stay. Daniel Levy will do his best to keep Harry Kane. #Spurs

We are lucky that neither Son nor Kane is the type of character to sulk if they do not get a move. However, the worry is that if one of the two players leaves, then the other one is likely to think to have major doubts about continuing at the club.
Both players also seem to be invested in the Jose Mourinho project and I am not sure if they will want to stick around for another rebuild if the club decide to sack the Portuguese coach and appoint someone like Julian Nagelsmann.
