Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson has shared his score prediction ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League fixture against Leeds United.
Ryan Mason’s side make the trip to Elland Road tomorrow lunchtime looking to keep alive their slim hopes of gatecrashing the top four and securing a return to the Champions League.
Spurs trail fourth place Chelsea by five points with four matches still to take place.
Lawrenson believes that the potential absence of Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha will play into Tottenham’s hands and believes that Harry Kane and Heung-min Son will cause Marcelo Bielsa’s defence to have a difficult afternoon.
Last time out, Lawrenson correctly predicted that Spurs would beat Sheffield United but got the scoreline wrong with his 3-0 tip when it ended up as a 4-0 victory for the North Londoners.
Leeds come into the fixture in a respectable eleventh place for what has been their first season back in the top flight.
He told BBC Sport: “Leeds were pretty poor in their defeat at Brighton last week when they missed injured duo Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha.
“Both of them are doubts for this game and it would definitely mean advantage to Tottenham if they miss out again.
“I fancy Harry Kane and Son Heung-min to cause Leeds plenty of problems, and Spurs to leave with the points.
“Lawro’s prediction: 0-2.”
