The Telegraph’s Matt Law has revealed that Eric Dier and Son Heung-min have not given up hope of being fit for the London derby against Chelsea on Sunday.
Tottenham were without a number of senior players for their trip to Selhurst Park on Saturday, including Son, who suffered a calf strain on international duty with South Korea.
Steven Bergwijn also missed the match with an ankle problem while Giovani Lo Celso, Cristian Romero and Davinson Sanchez were unavailable as they were serving their quarantine period in Croatia after flying to South America during the international break.
Additionally, Dier came off injured against Palace after a collision with Jordan Ayew in the first half.
Neither Dier nor Son is expected to make the trip to France for Tottenham’s Europe Conference League clash against Rennes on Tuesday.
Law has now confirmed that both players could be back in contention for the clash against the Blues.
Heung-Min Son has not given up on being fit to face Chelsea on Sunday. Would be a huge boost for Tottenham if he can make it. Dier hopeful too #thfc

Meanwhile, Lo Celso, Romero and Sanchez are expected to return to the UK a day before the clash against Chelsea.
Spurs Web Opinion
Our performance against Palace showed how important Son is for our attacking dynamic. So, I expect the South Korean to start on Sunday even if he is only 80 per cent fit.
While Dier might not be everyone’s cup of tea, I would also be a lot less nervous if I see the 27-year-old’s name on the teamsheet on Sunday.
Sanchez and Romero are quite similar and both players will look to aggressively win the balls played up to Lukaku, which poses a risk of conceding a lot of fouls or the Belgian potentially even turning them if they get too tight.
Dier could be a calming influence when partnered with one of the two. If the England international is fit, I expect Nuno to once again start with a centre-back pairing of him and Sanchez.
