Tottenham are growing more open to allowing Dele Alli to leave the club as it has become apparent he is not in Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans, according to The Athletic.
The 25-year-old has fallen out of favour with the Portuguese coach, despite being a notable figure in his early-season line-ups.
He has been an unused substitute in Tottenham’s last three Premier League games, while his latest episode saw him omitted from the side’s squad to face Burnley in the Carabao Cup.
Alli’s current position and role in the squad now place him in a precarious position, to the point at which The Athletic claim the club are growing more willing for him to seek an exit.
Reports emerged last January that he could be the subject of a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but Spurs held firm and refused to sanction a transfer to the Ligue 1 side, either on loan or a sale, in order to try and get him firing in North London again.
However, the report claims that a more realistic option for Alli at present would be across England to Newcastle United, who allegedly expressed their interest in the midfielder following the success of their Saudi-led takeover.

It looks like it might be time to part ways for Spurs and Alli, as it appears to have reached a point where it would be beneficial for both parties. Unless he is given one more go in his natural position behind the striker, it doesn’t seem like much more progress can be made.
