Jamie O’Hara has not held back in his criticism of the Tottenham players following their 2-1 loss to NS Mura on Thursday.
Antonio Conte rang the changes the match, with Pierluigi Gollini, Matt Doherty, Joe Rodon, Davinson Sanchez, Ryan Sessegnon, Tanguy Ndombele, Dele Alli and Bryan Gil getting their first starts under the Italian.
However, none of the players made their case to the new Spurs boss as the away side put in an extremely lacklustre first-half performance.
Tottenham found themselves a goal down at half-time and with a mountain to climb following Sessegnon’s sending off.
Here’s what O’Hara tweeted at half-time:
That spurs first half was absolutely embarrassing, these players are meant to be impressing Conte, I’ve seen a better standard from Dorking wanderers, should be ashamed, I’d be in there at half time getting a few by the scruff of the neck #Spurs #EuropaLeague

There was then a semblance of a response from the Spurs side after the interval as Conte rang the changes for the second half.
It looked like the away side might get out of jail when Harry Kane equalised in the 72nd minute.
However, as the Lilywhites were pushing bodies forward searching for a winner, they were hit by a late counter-attack, with the home side scoring the winner in stoppage time.
After the game, O’Hara questioned the desire of the Tottenham players and called for the backup players to be ‘booted’ out of the club.
Spurs are back with Conte I said this and stick by it, but this second string lot need booting out the door, no hunger no desire no quality and unfit, seen off three managers some of these players, no more excuses we’ve got the manager it’s on them now. #Spurs

Spurs Web Opinion
Words like ‘desire’ and ‘hunger’ are thrown around too easily in football to explain poor results. I think the reality is that there was a distinct lack of quality on the pitch, especially in the first half.
The likes of Dele Alli and Davinson Sanchez have shown time and again over the last couple of years that they are not good enough for the level we want to get to. I am sure Conte would have learned a lot from the performances he saw yesterday.
