Tottenham Hotspur are through to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup after defeating West Ham United 2-1 this evening.
Let’s take a look at how the individual players got on:
Hugo Lloris – 8 – Not only did he make his usual array of great saves, but he also came off his line and dealt with countless aerial balls. Mr reliable.
Matt Doherty – 7.5 – Looked decent defensively and got forward with some dangerous crosses that led to shots at goal. Worked really hard and looked shattered by the end.
Davinson Sanchez – 7 – Had a tough job dealing with West Ham’s high press and height from set-pieces. However, he was impressive for the most part yet again.
Eric Dier – 6.5 – At fault for West Ham’s goal when he gave it away with a pass out from the back and then failed to block the shot. However, he was superb beyond that one moment.
Ben Davies – 7 – Some nice play on the ball over on the left and defended his side pretty successfully. Another steady performance in and out of possession.
Sergio Reguilon – 7 – Good to see him back out there. He was his usual bundle of energy up and down the left, causing lots of problems. Still a little rash in his own defensive third.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – 8 – Started off a little rusty on his first game back but grew into proceedings. A fantastic give-and-go with Bergwijn to assist the second goal.
Lucas Moura – 8 – Fantastically positive tonight. He is adding more and more to his game, including that inch-perfect through ball to Kane. Also scored Tottenham’s second goal.
Steven Bergwijn – 9 – Scored the opener after a great move with Hojbjerg and then assisted the second after a superb run into the box. His best performance in a while.
Harry Kane – 7 – Struggled to find the ball at his feet in the final third and had some sloppy moments. Had the most joy when he dropped deep and popped off passes. Set up a golden chance for Son.
Substitutes:
Heung-min Son – 6 – Missed a golden chance to make it 3-1 and kill the game.
Harry Winks – 7 – Came on and worked his socks off to see out the game.
Dele Alli – N/A
Emerson Royal – N/A
Japhet Tanganga – N/A
