According to ESPN’s Rob Dawson, Harry Kane continues to be on Manchester City’s radar despite the Premier League champions failing to snap up the striker last summer and some Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to react.
Kane was heavily linked with a big-money move to Manchester City in the summer but Daniel Levy held firm and managed to keep hold of the striker.
The 28-year-old did not have the best of starts to the season but he has found his goalscoring boots since the arrival of Antonio Conte to Spurs, having scored three times in his last four Premier League matches.
The Athletic reported last month that the England captain is loving life under Conte and claimed that he could be offered a new contract by Spurs if the club continues to progress under the Italian.
However, Dawson has now revealed that City have not yet given up hope of signing the Tottenham man, who now has two and a half years left on his contract.
The journalist suggested that Pep Guardiola is still keen on adding a striker to his squad next summer, with the Tottenham man and Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland being the two options on City’s radar.
Here is how some Spurs fans reacted:

To be honest if I'm City there's not even a choice. Haaland is by far the better option.

Spurs Web Opinion
One would expect City to prioritise a deal for Haaland next summer given that he has age on his side and would be available for just €75m (£62.6m).
However, I do worry that they could target Kane should they miss out on Haaland. If Kane does not sign a new deal before the end of the season, the striker will just have two years left on his contract in the summer.
That would leave Spurs with a massive decision to make as the club will know that next summer will be the final transfer window where they can get a big transfer fee for the England captain.
