German publication Kicker have revealed that Bayern Munich could offer rumoured Tottenham target Corentin Tolisso a new contract.
Tolisso, who is now until the final six months of his contract at the Allianz Arena, has struggled for game time under Julian Nagelsmann, having featured in eight Bundesliga matches so far this season this term (TransferMarkt).
CalcioMercato reported back in October that Spurs managing director of football Fabio Paratici had made contact with the 27-year-old’s entourage over a potential move to North London.
Foot Mercato claimed last month that Bayern could look to cash in on the French international for a cut-price fee in January.
However, Kicker have now suggested the Bundesliga giants may have a change of heart regarding Tolisso on the back of some of his recent performances.
It is alleged that Bayern do not want to let the midfielder leave on a free and could thus offer him a new deal.
Spurs Web Opinion
Tolisso would be a very good squad player and bring a winning mentality to the squad but he would not substantially improve Tottenham’s starting eleven.
Besides, I believe that singing a natural number eight of Franck Kessie’s mould would be a bigger priority for Conte rather than a box-to-box/holding midfielder.
