Clinton Morrison believes that Dele Alli should have left Tottenham Hotspur much earlier than he did.
Alli completed a deadline day move to Everton, six and a half years on from arriving at Tottenham from MK Dons.
In his first three years at Spurs, the midfielder was one of the best players in the Premier League and looked destined to reach the very top of the game.
However, his form subsequently fell off a cliff and he has struggled to get a regular run in the side over the past couple of years under the likes of Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte.
Morrison believes that the move to Everton is Alli’s last chance to get his career back on track.
The former Crystal Palace striker backed the 25-year-old to thrive under the tutelage of Frank Lampard.
Watch what Morrison told Sky Sports following Alli’s move to Goodison Park:

Spurs Web Opinion
There is no doubt that Dele probably stayed a year too long. He had evidently lost his confidence at Spurs for the past couple of years and needed a fresh start elsewhere.
I can see him doing well at Everton as long as he gets a consistent run of starts under his belt. However, I am not sure how Lampard plans to fit both Dele and Van de Beek into the starting eleven.
