According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan are ‘serious’ about signing rumoured Tottenham target Paulo Dybala in the summer.
Dybala’s future is up in the air at the moment, with the forward’s current contract with Juventus running out this summer (Transfermarkt).
90 min claimed last month that the 28-year-old’s representatives had offered the player to several clubs in the Premier League, including Spurs.
Spanish publication Sport reported two weeks ago that Tottenham were facing competition from Barcelona and Inter Milan for the Juve star but added that the North London club had made the ‘most firm offer’ for the Argentina international.
However, Juventus director Federico Cherubini told Corriere Dello Sport a few days ago that the Serie A club are planning to open talks with the former Palermo man regarding a new deal.
This information has now been backed up by Gazzetta, who have revealed that Dybala is set to have talks with Juventus on Thursday about a new contract.
However, the report reveals there is a disagreement between the player’s entourage and the Juve hierarchy regarding the length of the contract.
It is explained that the Nerazzurri are monitoring the situation closely and could meet with Dybala’s representatives face-to-face if he does not reach a breakthrough with Juve.
Spurs Web Opinion
Juve would be keen to tie Dybala down to a new contract as they would not want to lose him for free in the summer, especially given their current financial plight. So, I would expect the Serie A giants to cede to the Argentine’s demands, both in terms of the salary and the length of the contract.
