Antonio Conte has praised the impact which both of his January signings have had on his side following the 2-0 win at Brighton.
Tottenham bounced back following the disappointing 3-2 win at Manchester United last weekend with victory at the Amex Stadium with Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski both playing an important role.
Kulusevski saw his shot in the first half take a deflection off team-mate Cristian Romero to leave Seagulls keeper Robert Sanchez flat-footed to brake the deadlock.
Bentancur was industrious in the middle of the park and he played a brilliant through ball for Harry Kane to latch onto and finish with his left foot after the break to double the north Londoners’ advantage.
The Uruguayan international has taken the place of Harry Winks as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s partner with Oliver Skipp still out injured with Conte also giving Winks a mention while complimenting the impact of the two arrivals from Italy.
Conte told Football.London after the final whistle during his post-match press conference: “It is very difficult to speak about the single player because the whole team played a good game. To see Bentancur and Deki go into the team so quickly is great for us. I said to you after these two signing we are more complete.
“We needed a player like Rodrigo, don’t forget Winksy because he is a reliable player. Kulusevski is showing to be a fantastic prospect, he is 22 years old. You can see that he is strong physically, good talent, they are helping us a lot.”

Fabio Paratici left his transfer dealings late in the January transfer window following the rumoured failure to sign Adama Traore and Luis Diaz, however both Kulusevski and Bentancur have enjoyed promising starts to life at Tottenham.
Bentancur certainly adds something different to our central midfield options with his ability to look to get the ball forward, while Kulusevski, who is still only 21 has been directly involved in six goals in his last six Premier League appearances (Statman Dave).
