Antonio Conte has provided a team news update to journalists who have attended Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-Aston Villa press conference from Hotspur Way this afternoon.
Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of the clash against Steven Gerrard’s side at Villa Park.
Aston Villa are on a run of three successive defeats and face a Tottenham team who arrive in the Midlands on the back of three wins, the first time since the Italian took charge in November that Spurs have won three consecutive Premier League matches.
Spurs come into the fixture looking to capitalise on Arsenal’s 3-0 defeat against Crystal Palace on Monday night in the race for the top four.
Conte has revealed that Ryan Sessegnon and Sergio Reguilon both returned to training this week, while confirming the match will come too soon for Oliver Skipp who suffered a setback in his return from injury this week.
Japhet Tanganga remains out for the season, as we knew already. Jonathan Veal reported that Reguilon is expected to be fit for the Aston Villa match.

Conte said (Football London): “No new injuries, two good news because Ryan Sessegnon and Sergio Reguilon they had the training session with us.
“About Oliver Skipp, we have to wait. He’s not ready, he’s still not ready and we need to have patience with him and sort this problem.
“First training session with Ryan for a long time compared to Sergio and for sure we need to pay attention to him but it’s good that he and Sergio are back.”
