Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed that Tottenham were lucky to come away with all three points from the Vitality Stadium on the back of their lacklustre performance.
Spurs needed to bounce back against Bournemouth after two consecutive losses in the Premier League against Manchester United and Newcastle United.
It was the home side who took the lead in the first half and things went from bad to worse for the visitors when Kieffer Moore doubled their lead at the start of the second 45.
However, Antonio Conte’s men dug deep and managed to pull off an amazing comeback, which was nothing more than they deserved, based on the amount of pressure they put the Bournemouth backline under in the second half.
Agbonlahor believes that Spurs got out of jail thanks to some poor defending from the Cherries, and he insisted that the Lilywhites are too easy to stop, given the lack of attacking players they had on the pitch.
The former Aston Villa striker told talkSPORT: “Spurs got away with one tonight. If you look at the goals they scored, it was poor defending from Bournemouth and they were unlucky.
“If you stop Harry Kane and stop Heung-min Son, you stop Spurs, and for most of the game that’s exactly what Bournemouth did.
“Tottenham started the game with just two attacking players on the pitch. Antonio Conte wants to play defensive football, but it was very poor from Spurs.”

That second half is one of the most one-sided halves of football I have seen this season, and there is no question that Tottenham deserved all three points.
The point Agbonlahor makes about Spurs being lucky to score from two corners is ridiculous as one would expect a team to be able to do so when they win nearly 20 corners, which indicates how much pressure Bournemouth’s backline was under.
Also, to say you only have to stop Kane and Son feels a little silly when Spurs have shared the goals and assists around this season more than ever before. Especially when Tottenham scored three yesterday and none were scored by Harry or Heung-min.
