A video doing the rounds on social media shows Fabio Paratici angrily remonstrating with the fourth official following Tottenham’s 2-1 loss to Liverpool.
Tottenham would consider themselves unlucky to have fallen to their second successive home loss in the Premier League on Sunday, particularly given the pressure they put the Liverpool backline under during the second-half.
There were also some contentious decisions that went against the hosts, the most controversial of which occurred in the first-half when Trent Alexander-Arnold shoved Ryan Sessegnon to the ground inside the box just as the Tottenham man was about to cross the ball.
The referee waved away calls for a penalty while VAR did not intervene to overturn the decision.
Liverpool’s time wasting antics in the second half also did not sit well with the Tottenham bench, with Antonio Conte even smashing the ball out of the hands of the Reds assistant Pep Lijnders, who was holding on to it in the touchline.
The Spurs head coach got a booking for his involvement and it turns out that the protestations of the Tottenham bench did not end at the final whistle.
Paratici continued to have a go at the fourth official after the final whistle and had to be ushered into the tunnel. Watch the incident below:

Even putting aside the controversial decisions that went against us, I found it ridiculous that there was only four minutes of added time despite Liverpool doing their best to run the clock down for the majority of the second-half.
The fact that we played so well during the second period would have likely added to the frustrations of Conte and Paratici.
