Italian journalist Nicolo Schira has reported that Borussia Monchengladbach are ready to sell Tottenham target Marcus Thuram for just €10m (£8.6m) in January.
The speculation over Thuram’s future has gone into hyperdrive on the back of the forward’s brilliant run of form in the first part of the campaign, with the Frenchman having found the back of the net 13 times in 2022-23 (Transfermarkt).
The 25-year-old’s current deal at Borussia Park runs out at the end of the season and he is thought to be on the radar of several clubs ahead of the January transfer window.
90 min reported last week that Antonio Conte is keen on signing Thuram in January while Gazzetta dello Sport (17/11/22 as relayed by Sport Witness) claimed a couple of days later that the Lilywhites face competition from their North London rivals Arsenal for the Gladbach star.
The publication added that Inter Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Marseille were all eyeing a move for the forward in January while The Sun revealed earlier this week that the forward was also on Newcastle United’s radar.
Schira has now taken to social media to report that Gladbach are willing to sell Thuram for €10m (£8.6m) when the transfer window opens in order to avoid losing him for free in the summer.
The journalist added that Inter are working on a deal for the France international while Bayern Munich had offered the attacker a five-year deal as far back as July.
#Gladbach prefer to sell Marcus #Thuram for €10M at least in January as made with Zakaria last year, because they don’t want to lose him as a free agent. #Inter working to try to sign him, even if #BayernMunich have already offered a 5-years contract but since July. #transfers

It is not surprising that so many clubs are keen to snap up Thuram as it is not often that an attacker of the Frenchman’s quality is available for such a low fee.
The 25-year-old will have a long list of clubs to choose from and I suspect he will not be too keen on joining Spurs as he would not be guaranteed regular game time at the club.
