Harry Kane has admitted that he was disappointed that Tottenham went two goals down against Brentford but praised the fighting spirit the players showed to salvage a point.
As Spurs fans became accustomed to in the first part of the season, the Lilywhites conceded first yet again against Brentford in the first half and gave themselves a mountain to climb when they conceded a second on 54 minutes.
For the umpteenth time this season, the Lilywhites started dictating proceedings in the final half an hour of the game and put the home side’s backline under tremendous pressure.
Kane, who had a lacklustre afternoon until then, sprung into life on 65 minutes as he met Clement Lenglet’s cross with an authoritative header to bring Spurs back into the game.
The comeback was complete six minutes later when a cross fell to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who found himself unmarked in the box, with the Dane taking a touch and placing the ball into the corner.
Kane almost won it for the away side in the 84th minute as he climbed above Brentford goalkeeper David Raya to meet the ball with a glancing header but the ball agonisingly came off the crossbar.
Here’s what the Tottenham striker posted on social media following the 2-2 draw:
Disappointed we gave ourselves a lot to do in the second half but good resilience to come back and finish strong. pic.twitter.com/lpdCZp44Tx

Spurs Web Opinion
It is a complete mystery to me why we do not start the game with the same intensity and aggression that we show in the final 30 minutes of matches when we find ourselves a goal or two down.
Perhaps that has to do with the opposition not being able to match our fitness levels towards the end of the games but we have to start delivering better performances in the first half of matches.
