Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the race for Real Valladolid starlet Ivan Fresneda, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar, is growing by the day.
Fresneda broke into Valladolid’s senior team towards the end of last season and the right-back has impressed in the Spanish top flight this campaign, having made eight league appearances in 2022-23.
Tottenham’s interest in the 18-year-old first came to light last week when 90 min claimed that Antonio Conte’s men were one of several clubs to have ‘watched’ the player this season and that the Lilywhites were considering making an offer for the youngster.
However, the report explained that many of Europe’s big hitters had also sent scouts to the Jose Zorrilla Stadium to run the rule over Fresneda this season.
Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that the likes of Newcastle United, Borussia Dortmund, and Juventus have already contacted Valladolid regarding a deal for the Spain Under-19 international.
Interest growing around Iván Fresneda. Valladolid RB’s attracting Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus as called weeks ago but also more top European clubs have now joined the race. #transfers

Spurs Web Opinion
Fresneda seems like a typical Paratici target, with the Spurs managing director potentially trying to sign the right-back on the cheap before he explodes, just like he did with Pape Sarr and Destiny Udogie.
However, I do have my doubts over whether signings of this kind would work under Antonio Conte, with the Italian seemingly hesitant to trust young players who are unproven at the top level.
