Football.London have revealed that Tottenham academy striker Will Lankshear has picked up an injury that is expected to sideline him for the rest of the season.
Lankshear joined the Spurs academy from Sheffield United in a reported £2m deal last summer and the teenager has impressed in his first season in North London.

The 17-year-old has scored four goals and provided two assists in five outings for the Under-18s and has also featured in Premier League 2 and the UEFA Youth League (Transfermarkt).
Lankshear has trained with the first team on a few occasions this season and was handed opportunities by Antonio Conte in the friendlies ahead of the campaign’s resumption in December.
Football.London reveal that the striker injured his knee and was seen on crutches at Hotspur Way on Thursday. It is explained that the youngster will have to undergo surgery and is thus not expected to feature again this season.
Spurs Web Opinion
This is unfortunate for Lankshear who has had a brilliant start to his time at Spurs. However, the 17-year-old’s injury offers an opportunity to January signing Jude Soonsup-Bell, who will now have more responsibility on his shoulders to lead the line for the Under-21s.
