The print edition of ABC de Sevilla (13/02/23) has suggested that Sevilla might find it quite difficult to sign Bryan Gil from Tottenham on a permanent basis in the summer.
Gil sealed a return to Sevilla on loan during the January window, 18 months on from leaving the La Liga club to join Tottenham.

The winger, who has struggled to get game time in North London, made an instant impact on his return to Seville, finding the back of the net in his first start against Mallorca on Saturday.
ABC de Sevilla now analyses the possibility of Jorge Sampaoli’s men swooping for the 22-year-old permanently, and they explain that it will not be straight-forward since Spurs are ‘very tough’ negotiators.
The publication points out that Sevilla do not have an option to make the deal permanent and suggests that Gil will not come cheap since he is ‘made for the elite’ and his contract with Tottenham runs until 2026.
It is suggested that the Spain international’s desire to remain at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium is ‘practically’ the La Liga club’s ‘only great asset’ in their effort to push through a permanent deal for the player.

At the very least, Spurs would want the money they paid for Gil back in 2021 and I do not see how Sevilla (or most other Spanish clubs) would be able to afford the transfer fee.
However, based on Gil’s recent interviews, it does seem like the winger does not want to return to England and is likely to push for a permanent sale in the summer.
