Assistant manager Cristian Stellini has provided a team news update to journalists who have attended Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-West Ham United press conference from Hotspur Way this afternoon.
The Italian was on media duties once again today in place of Antonio Conte, who has remained in his homeland following the 1-0 Champions League defeat at AC Milan following a post-surgery check-up.
Conte will miss Sunday’s Premier League game against the Hammers at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and not return to work until he has made an entire recovery from surgery to remove his gallbladder.
The 53-year-old had the operation in Italy two weeks ago and despite having made a swift return to the dugout during last weekend’s 4-1 defeat at Leicester City and the match at the San Siro, is now recuperating.
Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of the derby against David Moyes’ side in north London.

Tottenham have faced an injury crisis in recent times with Hugo Lloris, Ryan Sessegnon, Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur all currently sidelined.
Pierre-Emile Hobjerg, who was forced to sit out the defeat to AC Milan is once again available for selection having served his one-match European suspension.
Stellini has confirmed that his squad have not picked up any new issues following the Milan match or in training this week.
He told the club’s official Twitter account: “There are no new injuries. We have a problem with Sessegnon but that was clear from the last game that Sessegnon was not in the squad, so at the moment he is not available and not any news.”
