Journalist Dean Jones has reported via GiveMeSport that Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper is expected to be one of the names in the mix to replace Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur.
Conte’s future at Spurs remains up in the air, with the Italian’s current contract at the North London club running out at the end of the season (Transfermarkt).

Over recent months, multiple outlets have reported on the possibility of Mauricio Pochettino returning to Tottenham (Daily Mail) while Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi is also expected to be in consideration for the job (Football Insider).
Jones has now said that another name who is likely to be on Spurs’ wishlist to replace the Italian is Cooper, who looks set to guide Forest to safety after their promotion last season.
The journalist explains that while Pochettino remains the favourite for the Spurs job, the Argentine will not be the only name thrown into the ring, with Cooper also expected to be discussed by the Lilywhites hierarchy.
Jones adds that Tottenham may not be the only club eyeing the 43-year-old, with Chelsea, West Ham United and Southampton potentially also set to explore moves for the Welsh coach.

Cooper might not be as glamorous a name as some other candidates but he did an excellent job last season to help Forest get promoted and has done really well to integrate the squad this season, given the amount of turnover at the club.
Potter’s struggles at Chelsea show that one has to be an excellent man-manger to mould a good team when so many new faces arrive through the door.
However, I do not think that the 43-year-old will be anywhere near the top of Tottenham’s wishlist as hiring him would be a gamble, given his lack of experience at the top level.
