Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has revealed that Pedro Porro has already become a popular member of the Tottenham changing room, just a little over a month after arriving at the club.
Sporting Lisbon certainly did not make it easy for Spurs to snap up Pedro in January but Tottenham persisted despite the Portuguese club shifting the goalposts in their negotiations (The Athletic), which perhaps showed how much Antonio Conte wanted the Spaniard.

In the end, the North London club ended up paying a loan fee of £5m with an obligation to buy for another £39m while also giving up 15 per cent of the sell-on clause on Marcus Edwards to snap up the right-back (Sky Sports).
However, Porro has not had a promising start to life at Tottenham and is now being kept out of the starting eleven by Emerson Royal, who has been in stellar form since the start of February.
Gold has now revealed that even though things might not be going Porro’s way on the pitch, the right-back is settling well into his new surroundings off it.
The journalist, who attended the open training session at Hotspur Way on Tuesday, stated that Porro appeared to be one of the popular members of the squad.
Gold explained that the 23-year-old has fitted in quickly thanks to his bubbly personality and could be seen laughing with a number of players in the squad.

It was quite clear right from Porro’s first interview as a Spurs player that he is an effervescent and bubbly character.
That is perhaps what has helped him settle in quickly despite the language barrier.
The fact that there are a couple of Spanish speakers in the squad would have helped the 23-year-old.
Arguably most reassuring was the impact he had when he came on against AC Milan and certainly showed that he can provide a much-needed amount of creativity to the right.
